How to choose an aerial platform for your project

Guides

Working height, capacity, power type and ground conditions — four parameters that decide which platform will actually work on your site.

Choosing an aerial platform starts with the required working height — the height of the worker's hands, not the platform floor. Always allow a margin rather than planning at the very edge of the machine's range.

The second parameter is capacity: the combined weight of workers, tools and materials. Exceeding the rated capacity is one of the most common causes of faults and safety incidents.

Power type follows the working environment. Indoors, choose an electric machine — quiet, emission-free, with non-marking wheels. Outdoors or on unprepared ground you need a diesel machine with 4×4 drive.

Finally, check the machine's width and the access route: doorways, goods lifts, gradients and on-site obstacles. TODO: add examples from real projects.
